Dreams

I love to dream because it's so intriguing to create these crazy stories right in my head while asleep, but there's also those dreams of things I wish could happen; things that may be so far from my reach that they feel more like fiction than reality.  Working in a temple has been a dream of mine.  From the time when I first understood about temples and what takes place in them, I thought that spending time there would be a very rewarding job.  Temples  are the most  wonderfully sacred places on earth, and to me they provide that sweet feeling of "going home".  Perhaps because I have lived away from my parents' home for so long, and I love the anticipation of going there, feeling like I belong, and because I have so many memories of being in the temple with my parents, my siblings and my own children that I just don't have the words to describe how much I love going to the temple.  Well, today this dream comes true and I become part of that group of saints who dresses in white and works in the temple.  There are many dreams in my archives that are just that: dreams; but this one is becoming a reality this morning, and I am nervous, and excited and looking forward to today.  My children are camping at the beach this weekend, and I changed my plans to be at the temple. It will be interesting to see how my life changes because I'm a temple worker.  I was teased (by my own children, who else?) that I would be the official turkey wrangler- maybe because I have such extensive experience working with long legged, funny looking birds... like my children.  Anyway, I thought it was funny that as I drove up the temple driveway, the turkeys were in mass grazing on the lawn, and when I left after 5pm the turkeys were at the ball field, so the picture was taken to record the fact that there was a game of turkey ball going on, and the turkeys don't need a wrangler really.

I am so excited for you! Since you were always there anyway, they might as well put you to work, right!? Congratulations. You're a great example, especially since my parents won't get their act together! : )
Hope you're well.
